Vidya Balan loves Cambridge

All she wanted was to hold books in her hand and stroll around the lush green Cambridge campus. Vidya Balan was not there for some excursion but for the shooting of R. Balakrishna's film Pa co-starring Abhishek Bachchan and Amitabh Bachchan. After the film’s shoot got over, Vidya did not fly back with the film unit. She chose to stay back and soak in the unique atmosphere of Cambridge. “Yes, I did stay back in Cambridge. I simply had to. I had no choice,” Vidya is quoted as saying by IANS. The actress felt a connection with the place. “Just being in Cambridge shooting was not enough. I felt a deep connect with the campus and the environment. I just wanted to walk around the campus with books in hand, so I'd look like a student,” she told the agency. Vidya stayed back with a friend in Cambridge. “It was the most enriching experience of my life. Just the air and the feel of the place is so special,” she said. The actress is so moved by her stay in Cambridge that she now wants to buy a house “that offers the same climate and topography”.
