Salman Khan on his Veer blog writes, I am very excited about the release of Veer on January 22, 2010. I have lived with Veer for 20 years and want you guys to live the movie with me through this blog. Veer can be called my most awaited film till date. I had written the story of my dream project when I was shooting for the film Baaghi in 1990.”

The story of Veer has been written by Salman himself, and is amongst the costliest films to be made in Bollywood.

Kareena Will Take Home Best Actress Awards for Kurbaan: Critics Prediction

There is a buzz in the B-town’s critics circuit that Kareena Kapoor has given her best performance so far in Karan Johar’s Kurbaan. They are so floored by Bebo’sperformance that they predict Bebo will take home the best Actress awards this year.

Reveals an insider, “Kareena was told by a highly respected critic that she was loved in the film and that her performance was fantastic. In fact he even went on to say that he’s a big fan and with Kurbaan he has only become a bigger fan. He went on to wish her well and also hoped that the Numero Uno status always remains with her.”

Reveals a trade analyst, “Audiences are appreciating the film and the chemistry between Saif and Kareena is quite a highlight of the film. Kareenaby the looks of it is set to sweep all the awards this year for her performancein Kurbaan. She is better in Kurbaan than she was in Jab We Met.”

Goes on to reveal the analyst, “Performance wise she is Kajol, beauty wise Aishwarya –what more can an actress ask for.”

Talking about Kareena in the film Taran Adarsh adds, “As for Kareena, KURBAAN reiterates one fact yet again. She’s the best in the business. No two opinions on that! Bipasha Basu-Vidya Balan End Cold War with a Hug

After patching up with Katrina, Bipasha is on her way to patch up with Vidya Balan too. The actresses were neck to neck after rumours of John Abraham’s crackling chemistry with Vidya Balan on the sets of Salaam–e-Ishq way back in 2007.

It was rumored that despite Nikhil Advani called cut for an intimate scene under a dupatta, John and Vidya continued to remain inside the dupatta for at least a minute before coming out of it.

Apparently then Bips was so furious with Vidya that she warned John against working with Vidya ever again. But now she is on a patch up spree so she decided to bury the hatchet and extend an olive branch to Vidya.

According to sources, when Vidya arrived at a party thrown to celebrate the success of All The Best, Bips got up and gave Vidya a warm welcome.

Confirming the story, a source told a news daily, “Bipasha just went up to Vidya and hugged her. Later, John too spoke to Vidya.”

Talking about Vidya, Bips told the news daily, “I never had any problem with Vidya. Many ridiculous stories are printed every day in the media. I don’t change my attitude towards people according to them.”

Kareena Shies To Show Hot Scenes to Mom!

There was enough hullabaloo about Kareena’s bare-back posters for Kurbaan and her intimate scenes with beau Saif had also become quite a talk of the town. Of course Bebo was a little jittery as to what response the movie would get given all the hot scenes. But Bebo became even more jittery when she got to know that her mom Babitha is going to watch Kurbaan with her films.

And Kareena asked Karan to delete those few scenes from her mom’s reel and Karan flatly refused. Kareena confirms saying,

“I asked Karan if he could hide that one reel only from mom’s trial”. However, Karan flatly turned down Bebo’s request. The director reportedly told her, ” Shut up Bebo, and go take a walk. I’m doing no such thing.”

Don’t worry Bebo your scenes were very aesthetically shot, I’m sure they wouldn’t have even gotten a twitch in your mom’s eyebrows!

Mudassar Gives Sushmita A Special B’day Gift!

Sushmita Sen turned 34 this November and beau Mudassar wanted to make it a day to remember for the hot lady.

He gifted Sush a DVD that had a 6 minute clip of her different moods during the making of her home production – Dulha Mil Gaya.

A source reported, “During the making of Dulha Mil Gaya, he collected together little videos of her different moods. He began working on the video a week before her birthday.

Sushmita was very pleased with the gift, as Mudassar had gone through the trouble of making it especially for her. The DVD also contains some shots of SRK and Fardeen Khan, her co-stars in the film. He also gifted her bottle of her favorite champagne, Dom Perignon and a big birthday card.”

Ranbir Kapoor, though just a few films old has had many link ups apart from his relationship with Deepika Padukone, he doesn’t talk about his personal matters much but he has chosen to tell us about his first ever crush.

No it wasn’t Sonam or Katrina but Ranbir’s first crush was his school teacher.

Ranbir blushes in affirmative saying, “Ranbir smilingly states in this regards, “I have had many crushes in life and my first crush was my second standard school teacher. Maybe because she was the first woman in my life after my mother who pampered me and loved me just the way my mom did. I used to secretly adore her.”

Vidya Balan is feels honored that she got to play the role of megastar Amitabh Bachchan’s mother in Balki’s Paa.

Vidya tells, “After this role, I can proudly tell my children and grandchildren that Big B was my first child. Not even in my wildest dreams had I thought of playing mother to the living legend of the industry.”

Vidya further adds, “It was an humbling experience to work with Bachchanji. This is a very special movie for me.”

The recently held Cosmopolitan fearless female award was for women, but SRK completely bowled everyone over by bending over his knee to award the fearless females of India with a pretty shoe award.

Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukone were also present at the event and charmed everybody.

Marriage is the sweetest memory for Aishwarya

Aishwarya recently said that getting married to Abhishek is the best memory of her life.

Talking about her marriage, she said, “Life has been wonderful till now. It is not actually possible to pick one sweetest memory.

I thank God immensely for the number of experiences that I have had through my career. Like this year, I was privileged to get the Padmashree. I feel I am blessed. However, I have to say that my marriage is my sweetest memory.”

PLAYING 22 YR OLD AT 44

An offer at 44 to act 22… and you took it up?
[Starts laughing] Very valid question. I have been asking myself that. Audacious step… in keeping with all my mad decisions in the past. After four films on Bhagat Singh, for instance, we went and made the fifth one, Rang De Basanti. Or when people were making films in Switzerland wearing DKNY, we went and shot Lagaan in dhoti in a small village.

In 3 Idiots, age was the challenge. I told Raju [director, Rajkumar Hirani], ‘Why waste time on me when you can use a 22-year-old?’ He said, ‘Rancho is what you are in real life… unconventional, always goes against the tide, breaks rules.’ He wanted that belief to come through.

What did you have to do to physically overcome the age barrier?
I had to get rid of all the muscle I had built for Ghajini. I had to become smaller. Stopped training, went on a strict diet, drank lots of water, did cardio, played badminton 1-2 hours every day before shooting. When you sweat it out, your face looks fresher, younger.

So, I’d text poor IIM-Bangalore [3 Idiots was being shot on campus] students to come at 3 am or 4 am to play badminton. [Chuckles] I destroyed their sleep pattern.

Mentally?
That’s the difficult part. Every pore needs to feel you are 22. It’s difficult to bring back the innocence. To unlearn. You have gone through so much experience that your response is automatically different.

ON FRIENDSHIP WITH SALMAN AND SHAHRUKH

Apparently there was a time many years ago when Shah Rukh, Salman and you used to meet as a trio, hang out together. What happened?
Yes, we used to hang out together. Over the years, Salman and I have come closer. We have grown fond of each other. We have respect and regard for each other. We enjoy each other’s company. In fact, we hang out more than we used to earlier. Not daily, but often.

Shah Rukh and I have, over the years, not hung out together so much. We meet every now and then. Again, I have a lot of respect for Shah Rukh as a star, and find his films entertaining.
